The Water Cycle

This week we are learning about the water cycle. We listened to the Water Cycle Song.

Evaporation
The sun shines on water (puddles, rivers, oceans, lakes, ponds), heats the water up so that it turns into a gas that rises.

Condensation
The gas rises up, the temperature of the air cools, the gas comes together to form clouds.

Precipitation
The clouds get too heavy and they burst. Depending on the temperature, it rains, hails, sleets or snows. This falls to the ground and turns into a new body of water. The cycle begins again.
